Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will span across three critical pillars: Access & Reimbursement, Pricing Strategy, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR). Here’s how you’ll drive value:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, payers, government agencies, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to advocate for product access and optimize patient outcomes.
• Market Access Strategy: Develop and execute tailored access strategies that align with AbbVie’s global and local objectives, ensuring seamless integration of our products into the Saudi healthcare ecosystem.
• Reimbursement & Policy Analysis: Monitor and interpret national and local reimbursement policies, competitive landscapes, and market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Provide actionable insights to shape AbbVie’s tactical and strategic plans.
• Value Proposition Development: Lead the creation of compelling value propositions by synthesizing clinical evidence, stakeholder feedback, and local market dynamics. Collaborate with regional teams to refine and disseminate these propositions effectively.
• Value Dissemination: Design and implement robust internal and external communication plans to ensure stakeholders—from healthcare professionals to payers—understand and advocate for the value of AbbVie’s products.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all market access and reimbursement strategies adhere to regulatory standards, maintaining AbbVie’s reputation for integrity and excellence.
• Pricing Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop competitive, patient-centric pricing strategies that reflect both market dynamics and AbbVie’s value proposition.
• Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, competitor pricing, and patient affordability to inform strategic pricing decisions that drive accessibility and sustainability.
• Pricing Negotiations: Lead high-stakes negotiations with key stakeholders to secure favorable reimbursement terms that align with the clinical and economic value of our products.
• Financial Acumen: Engage with AbbVie’s leadership in financial planning and brand strategy cycles, ensuring market access decisions contribute to long-term business growth and patient impact.
• Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR): Lead HEOR initiatives to generate robust evidence demonstrating the clinical and economic value of AbbVie’s products. Develop or oversee economic models, value dossiers, and HTA submissions tailored to Saudi market requirements.
• Access Submissions: Prepare and manage submissions for health technology assessments (HTAs) and other regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing market access strategies, both pre-launch and post-launch, with a focus on ensuring product readiness and stakeholder alignment.
• Expertise in pharmacoeconomics and health technology assessment (HTA), with the ability to interpret complex clinical and economic data to inform decision-making.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to manage complexity in fast-evolving healthcare environments, balancing clinical evidence with market realities.
• Experience in managing key opinion leaders (KOLs) and building influential partnerships that drive product adoption.
• A postgraduate degree in pharmacoeconomics, public health, or pharmaceutical pricing is highly preferred, though exceptional candidates with relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience with real-world evidence generation is a significant advantage, as it aligns with AbbVie’s commitment to data-driven healthcare solutions.
