Join our esteemed Infrastructure Division as a Senior Traffic and Detour Engineer in Riyadh, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of urban mobility and large-scale civil infrastructure. This position demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in traffic management, detour planning, and temporary traffic control systems for high-impact projects—including roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, and urban developments. As part of our Project and Construction Management team, you will oversee technical excellence, ensure seamless coordination across disciplines, and deliver innovative solutions that minimize disruption while maximizing efficiency.

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving technical leadership in traffic management strategies, ensuring compliance with global and local standards, and fostering collaboration between engineers, contractors, and safety teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in refining design proposals, resolving complex challenges, and maintaining alignment with project objectives—from initial planning through execution and final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Your impact will be far-reaching, encompassing:

• Technical Leadership: Oversee the development, review, and approval of all traffic management plans, detour strategies, and temporary traffic control measures for construction sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Design Coordination: Act as the primary technical advisor for design modifications, resolving issues independently or coordinating with internal stakeholders to maintain project integrity and feasibility.
• Contractor Oversight: Lead the evaluation of contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material specifications, and design proposals, ensuring they align with project goals and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct final reviews of all contractor deliverables—drawings, schedules, and materials—to guarantee compliance with design concepts, safety standards, and project objectives.
• Value Engineering: Assess and report on value engineering proposals, providing technical insights to optimize project outcomes without compromising quality or safety.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between traffic management teams, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) managers, and other supervisory services to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the traffic department as the primary point of contact, fostering clear communication and alignment with all internal and external stakeholders.

Your Expertise and Background

We are seeking a distinguished professional with:

• Advanced Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Transportation or Traffic Management, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven Track Record: Over 15 years of experience in mega construction projects, with a consultancy focus on onsite traffic management. Contractor experience alone will not be considered.
• Specialized Roadway Expertise: Hands-on experience in 1+ large-scale road projects. Candidates without substantial road-related experience will not be evaluated.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of construction principles, design methodologies, and engineering standards, including local building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Language Skills: Fluent English proficiency is mandatory. Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, report writing, problem-solving, teamwork, autonomy, adaptability, and a commitment to technical rigor.
• Cultural Fit: Willingness to thrive in a multinational, collaborative environment with a global client base.
• Professional Certification: Valid membership in the Saudi Council for Engineers (SCE) required.
