In this dynamic role, you will lead the finance function’s critical accounting operations, ensuring seamless month-end closures, accurate financial reporting, and robust internal controls. Your strategic oversight will extend across project accounting, job costing, and compliance with international financial standards, positioning you as a key enabler of financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Lead the general ledger, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with IFRS and Saudi tax regulations (ZATCA, VAT, and WHT). Maintain strict adherence to internal accounting policies and external regulatory frameworks.
• Project Accounting & Profitability Analysis: Oversee project accounting and job costing, including budget vs. actual analysis, cost accruals, and profitability assessments. Manage complex financial relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties, including advances, retention, claims, and contract variations.
• Revenue Recognition & Progress Billing: Review and validate project progress billing, receivables, contract assets, and revenue recognition to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and financial best practices.
• Financial Scheduling & Reporting: Prepare high-impact financial schedules, management reports, and variance analyses to support data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Controls, Commercial, Procurement, and Operations, to ensure accurate and timely financial insights.
• Cash Flow & Forecasting: Support cash-flow management, forecasting, and working capital optimization to enhance liquidity and financial resilience across projects.
• Audit & Governance: Facilitate internal and external audits while maintaining a culture of strong controls, governance, and risk mitigation. Proactively identify accounting and process risks, implementing timely resolutions to safeguard financial integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in a Tier 1 contractor, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure environment, with a proven track record in project accounting, job costing, and construction finance.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, Saudi tax/VAT requirements, and robust ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling is essential.
• Certifications: SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
