As the Senior Storage Lead, you will assume a strategic leadership position, ensuring the seamless operation, optimization, and future-proofing of enterprise storage environments. This role demands a deep technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex infrastructure challenges. You will be responsible for leading storage initiatives, troubleshooting critical incidents, and driving continuous improvement across storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will span multiple critical areas, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise storage infrastructure:

• Storage & Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee the administration, support, and optimization of enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments, including provisioning, configuration, expansion, migration, and decommissioning. Monitor storage availability, performance, capacity, and health to ensure operational excellence. Provide technical guidance to storage and infrastructure teams while identifying risks and recommending strategic improvements to enhance infrastructure resilience.
• SAN/NAS & Connectivity: Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAN, NAS, and storage connectivity issues, ensuring seamless integration between servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems. Support high-availability storage environments and critical production escalations, collaborating with infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
• Backup & Data Protection: Lead the administration, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise backup solutions, managing backup policies, schedules, retention, and capacity. Troubleshoot backup and recovery failures while ensuring critical systems are adequately protected. Support advanced backup technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, and Synology NAS to maintain robust data protection strategies.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Play a key role in supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, ensuring solutions meet defined Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) requirements. Participate in DR testing and recovery exercises to validate resilience and support the implementation of resilient storage, backup, and recovery solutions.
• Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Support storage integration with leading virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix. Troubleshoot storage-related issues in virtualized environments and assist with hybrid on-premises and Azure storage/backup solutions, including Azure Storage and Azure Backup. Ensure seamless transition and management of storage resources across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Capacity, Performance & Migration: Lead storage capacity planning and forecasting, monitoring growth, performance, and utilization to preemptively address potential constraints. Oversee enterprise storage upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes, ensuring all infrastructure changes are meticulously planned, validated, and executed.
• Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Serve as the senior escalation point for P1/P2 storage and backup incidents, leading complex troubleshooting and RCA efforts. Coordinate technical teams and vendors during critical incidents, implementing preventive measures to mitigate recurring issues and enhance overall infrastructure reliability.
• Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage and backup architecture, developing technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and recovery documentation. Ensure all infrastructure configurations and operational documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices.
