Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Reconciliation: Manage comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, including general ledger entries, bank statement reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and validated.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present periodic financial statements, reports, and cash flow analyses tailored to meet the needs of the trustees and stakeholders. Your insights will help drive strategic financial planning and resource allocation.
• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with zakat regulations, local tax laws, and international accounting standards. Collaborate with external auditors and accountants to streamline compliance processes and mitigate risks.
• Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting processes and monitor cash flow to support the waqf’s long-term financial sustainability and operational goals.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows, implement best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the waqf’s financial systems.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the waqf’s trustees, external auditors, and other relevant parties to facilitate clear communication and alignment on financial matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A **Bachelor’s degree in Accounting** is required, with a strong preference for candidates holding a **Society of Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) membership** or a comparable professional certification.
• Experience: **2–3 years of accounting experience**, with a particular advantage for those who have worked in endowment management, non-profit organizations, or within a CPA firm. Familiarity with waqf-specific financial structures is highly valued.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management is essential. Experience with accounting software, spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel), and financial management platforms is a must.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of **zakat regulations**, local tax laws, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or Saudi Financial Reporting Standards).
• Analytical and Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills to identify discrepancies, assess financial risks, and ensure data accuracy. Attention to detail is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Communication: Fluent in both **Arabic and English**, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with trustees, auditors, and internal teams.
