Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your expertise will be instrumental in driving the following critical initiatives:

• Database Administration and Operations: Oversee the end-to-end management of our database environments, ensuring peak performance, data integrity, and operational reliability. Develop and execute robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical business continuity. Leverage your leadership to maintain high availability and scalability, enabling our organization to adapt to growth and evolving demands.
• Database Design and Optimization: Lead the architectural design of innovative database structures, optimizing existing systems for enhanced efficiency and performance. Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration, aligning database solutions with strategic business requirements. Continuously refine and modernize our database infrastructure to support agile and scalable operations.
• Security and Compliance Excellence: Enforce stringent security protocols and ensure full compliance with internal policies as well as external regulations, including SAMA and AML/CTF standards. Conduct thorough audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding our data against emerging threats.
• Performance Monitoring and Strategic Optimization: Implement proactive monitoring strategies to analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and deploy targeted tuning solutions. Utilize advanced analytics and system metrics to drive continuous improvement, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Team Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration: Mentor and lead a high-performing team of database administrators and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Partner with IT operations, application development, and business stakeholders to align database strategies with organizational goals, ensuring seamless and impactful outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a distinguished professional with a proven track record in database management, coupled with a leadership mindset and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Nationality: Saudi
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) are highly valued and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in database management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, mission-critical database environments is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems, with a strong focus on performance tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL, is a significant asset.
• Security and Compliance: A robust understanding of database security, access control mechanisms, and compliance requirements to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with outstanding communication and leadership abilities. Your capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders will be instrumental in driving success.
