We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead and deliver high-impact advisory engagements within our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, specializing in Banking and Capital Markets. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), financial reporting controls, asset management, and private equity, coupled with a passion for driving operational excellence through technology-enabled transformation.

Key Responsibilities

As a key leader in this role, you will:

• Lead and execute complex advisory engagements across finance transformation, operating model design, core banking modernization, digital channels, data governance, and technology-driven change initiatives for global banking and asset management clients.
• Leverage transactional expertise to support due diligence processes, M&A advisory, and IPO readiness, ensuring seamless integration of financial, operational, and regulatory considerations.
• Drive asset management and private equity advisory engagements at both the management company and portfolio company levels, with a focus on fund controllership, fund accounting principles, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including business leaders, finance teams, operations, technology, risk, and compliance—to diagnose current-state challenges, define future-state requirements, and develop scalable implementation roadmaps.
• Translate strategic banking and capital markets initiatives into actionable workplans, process redesigns, capability maps, target operating models, and governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee large-scale transformation programs, including program governance, PMO establishment, milestone tracking, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, change adoption strategies, and executive reporting to drive successful delivery.
• Actively contribute to business development by developing compelling proposals, refining credentials, defining project scope, estimating effort, and crafting boardroom-ready presentations that position EY as the trusted advisor of choice.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, and high-quality deliverables while ensuring timely and impactful client outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess:

• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within a top-tier consulting firm, Big Four advisory practice, financial services technology advisory firm, or a leading banking transformation environment.
• Deep expertise in serving asset management and private equity clients, including familiarity with various fund structures, fund accounting principles, and asset management technology platforms.
• Extensive experience in Banking and Capital Markets, with hands-on exposure to retail banking, corporate banking, transaction banking, treasury, payments, lending, deposits, cards, trade finance, or capital markets products.
• Proven success in driving banking sector transformations, including operating model redesigns, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory compliance programs.
• A strong foundation in financial reporting controls, internal audit processes, and regulatory frameworks applicable to banking and asset management industries.
• Leadership in complex advisory engagements, demonstrating the ability to deliver measurable outcomes while managing client expectations and stakeholder relationships.
