As a **Senior Mechanical Engineer**, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining production continuity, enhancing system reliability, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize plant performance. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervision and Troubleshooting: Lead the supervision and troubleshooting of all plant mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems, including transmission systems, drives, gears, bearings, couplings, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, motor drives, conveyors, and presses. Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance through proactive maintenance and rapid issue resolution.
• Design and Optimization: Collaborate on the design and development of mechanical systems, ensuring they are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with industry standards. Continuously evaluate and refine processes to enhance productivity while maintaining the highest quality benchmarks.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all mechanical equipment. This will include regular inspections, predictive maintenance strategies, and documentation to preempt potential failures and disruptions in production operations.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of new products and systems to assess performance, safety, and longevity. Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements that balance cost efficiency with quality assurance.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the Electrical Troubleshooting Section Head, Utilities Department, and Technical Department Manager to ensure the integrated functionality of all plant machinery. Foster cross-functional teamwork to maintain operational reliability and address complex technical challenges.
• Technical Documentation and Monitoring: Leverage computer-aided tools to monitor mechanical systems in real-time. Make necessary adjustments and updates to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency, while maintaining detailed records for future reference and analysis.
• Shift and On-Call Responsibilities: Demonstrate reliability and adaptability by working across a **three-shift schedule**, including outside normal working hours, to address urgent operational needs and maintain continuous production flow.
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold stringent industrial safety and security protocols. Ensure all operations adhere to ISO standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: A **Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering** or a related field is mandatory. Advanced certifications or specialized training in mechanical systems are a significant advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of **two years of professional experience** in mechanical engineering, with a focus on industrial plant operations, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Experience in **ceramic tile manufacturing** is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of:
• Industrial mechanical systems, including transmission, drives, gears, bearings, couplings, and gearboxes.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, motor drives, conveyors, presses, and basic fabrication and machining operations (e.g., drilling, grinding, and welding).
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional **oral and written English** proficiency to effectively communicate with management, colleagues, and cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to apply advanced mechanical techniques, statistical analysis, and analytical tools to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills to develop innovative solutions.
• Physical Demands: While this role does not involve heavy lifting, you must be capable of exerting up to **10 lbs of force** occasionally.
