Your Impact

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in full-stack development to enhance Moyasar’s core products and infrastructure. Your work will span the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring that every solution we deliver is robust, efficient, and user-centric. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate complex requirements into scalable, high-quality features that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications and features across Moyasar’s suite of payment products, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Backend Development: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails, focusing on creating efficient, modular, and maintainable solutions that support high-volume transactional systems.
• Frontend Enhancement: Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to implement intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
• API Design and Integration: Architect, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that serve as the backbone of Moyasar’s systems, ensuring seamless communication between frontend and backend components.
• Database Optimization: Work with PostgreSQL to design optimized data models, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity and performance in high-transaction environments.
• Caching and Asynchronous Processing: Utilize Redis for caching strategies and Sidekiq for managing background jobs, improving system responsiveness and scalability.
• Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code while contributing to automated testing frameworks, including unit and integration tests, to ensure reliability and reduce technical debt.
• Performance and Security: Continuously monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and security, implementing best practices to safeguard sensitive financial data.
• Collaboration and Agile Development: Participate actively in technical discussions, code reviews, and Agile processes, working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features on time and meet business objectives.
• Technical Leadership: Document technical processes, system changes, and architectural decisions to foster knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability within the team.
• Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively suggesting improvements to engineering practices and tooling.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate engineer with a strong foundation in full-stack development and a keen interest in fintech. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in full-stack development.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Ruby on Rails, with experience in building and maintaining scalable backend services.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and integration, including consumption and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, and relational database design.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and performance enhancement.
  • Familiarity with Sidekiq or similar tools for asynchronous job processing.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control workflows, including branching strategies and pull request management.
  • Strong background in writing and maintaining automated tests, including unit, integration, and possibly end-to-end tests.
  • Commitment to writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to facilitate seamless collaboration in a global team environment.
