In this pivotal role, you will serve as the scientific voice of Sobi, fostering meaningful relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and regional stakeholders across the MENAT region. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company’s reputation, ensuring accurate medical communication, and advancing our therapeutic innovations to benefit patients globally.

Key Responsibilities

As our MSL, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Scientific Engagement: Build and nurture collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts, and medical stakeholders to align Sobi’s scientific narrative with industry best practices.
• Medical Communication Leadership: Deliver high-impact, evidence-based medical communications that adhere to corporate and regional strategies, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with patient-centric goals.
• Regional and Local Medical Strategy: Support the development of localized medical tactics while contributing to regional plans, ensuring cohesive execution across markets like Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC.
• Scientific Advisory and Market Access: Organize and facilitate scientific advisory boards, collaborate with patient access teams, and contribute to market access strategies, pricing, and reimbursement discussions.
• Congress and Symposium Representation: Actively participate in local, regional, and global medical conferences to represent Sobi, engage with stakeholders, and disseminate critical scientific insights.
• Named-Patient Use (NPU) Coordination: Manage and facilitate NPU processes in alignment with Sobi’s global initiatives, ensuring compliance and patient-centric outcomes.
• Training and Knowledge Validation: Ensure field teams are equipped with accurate medical information through ongoing training and validation of scientific content.
• Competitive Intelligence and Business Development: Provide actionable insights during due diligence and competitor analysis, supporting regional medical programs and launch strategies.
• Brand Strategy and Budget Alignment: Proactively contribute to brand strategy development, ensuring medical initiatives are aligned with financial and operational objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a medical field (e.g., Pharmacy, Medicine), with a postgraduate qualification being highly advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison, with a preference for candidates with a background in hematology or rare diseases.
• Proven experience in the GCC markets, particularly Saudi Arabia, though not mandatory, is a significant asset.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Arabic proficiency as a plus.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to analyze data, create presentations, and document findings.
• A demonstrated ability to manage diverse portfolios and meet medical performance indicators (KPIs) with precision.
• Operational excellence and the ability to execute complex medical strategies while maintaining alignment with corporate goals.
