Qualifications & Experience

• Education & Certification:
• Graduation from an accredited medical school, followed by a **one-year internship** in a recognized program.
• Completion of a **residency in Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, or Emergency Medicine** through a certified training program.
• Specialized **fellowship training in cardiac critical care medicine**, recognized by a reputable institution.
• In the UK system, eligibility requires **at least two years of registrar experience in cardiac critical care**, following qualification in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia, plus **one year in an intensive care unit**.
• A **valid medical license** to practice, along with certification from the **American or Canadian Board** (or equivalent international accreditation).
• Clinical Expertise:
• Minimum of **three years of post-board or fellowship experience** in cardiac critical care, demonstrating proven proficiency in managing high-acuity patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Provide **evidence-based, person-centered care** to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring timely and accurate **diagnostic and therapeutic interventions** in alignment with established clinical guidelines and institutional protocols.

• On-Call & Emergency Response: Assume **rotating on-call responsibilities** as needed, ensuring rapid response to emergency requests from all **JHAH facilities**, including emergency departments.
• Educational & Research Engagement: Contribute to **hospital-wide and divisional education initiatives**, including attendance at **Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs**, and mentorship of trainees or healthcare professionals. Actively participate in **clinical research and quality improvement projects** to advance the field of cardiac critical care.
• Committee & Process Improvement: Engage in **interdisciplinary and interdepartmental committees**, supporting performance optimization, risk management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives within JHAH.
• Administrative & Regulatory Compliance: Promptly address **medical documentation queries, coding concerns, patient advocacy issues, and risk management inquiries** to ensure seamless operational flow and regulatory adherence.
