We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines that drive insightful analytics and support business decision-making. As a Data Engineer at TCS, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to transform raw data into valuable business assets, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across our enterprise solutions.

Your Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your core responsibilities will include architecting and implementing robust data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational objectives. Your expertise in big data technologies will be instrumental in processing large-scale datasets efficiently, while your proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java will enable you to develop scalable and maintainable code. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing data models, ensuring data quality, and implementing best practices in data governance and security.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Programming Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python, Scala, or Java, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Big Data Technologies: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing, along with a deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• ETL and Data Modeling: Proven experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines, as well as modeling data for optimal performance and usability.
• Workflow Orchestration: Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar tools for scheduling and monitoring data workflows.
• Version Control and Collaboration: Proficiency in Git for code versioning and collaborative development, adhering to Agile methodologies.
• Data Lakes and Storage: Experience in building and managing data lakes, including integration with cloud-based or on-premise storage solutions.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges, coupled with a passion for leveraging data to drive business innovation.
