Accounts Receivable Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring accurate recording of invoices and receipts, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to delivering precise financial reporting. This position requires a Saudi national with SOCPA membership and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within an accounts receivable department.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Account Management: Oversee and maintain accurate records of client accounts, ensuring all invoices, receipts, and related vouchers are properly documented and processed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) regulations, including the accurate preparation and submission of monthly VAT reports. Maintain compliance with all financial and tax-related obligations to mitigate risks and avoid penalties.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of client accounts to verify the accuracy of transactions and ensure all payments are received and recorded in a timely manner. Address discrepancies promptly to maintain financial integrity.
• Bank Reconciliations: Conduct thorough monthly bank reconciliations to align internal records with bank statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the finance administration team to streamline day-to-day financial activities and contribute to the year-end closing process. Provide support in managing retentions, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with project managers and the operations team to review sales contracts, finalize billing cycles, and ensure seamless communication between departments. This collaboration is essential to maintaining efficient billing processes and accurate revenue recognition.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Membership: Active membership in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant experience in finance, with a preference for roles within the accounts receivable department.
• Nationality: Must be a Saudi national.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems, with the ability to generate accurate financial reports and perform complex reconciliations.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
