Key Responsibilities

As the **GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer**, your responsibilities will include:

• Architecting Enterprise-Grade DevOps Solutions: Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of end-to-end DevOps frameworks on GCP, ensuring alignment with enterprise-scale requirements. Develop resilient, highly available, and secure infrastructure blueprints tailored for mission-critical applications and high-transaction environments.
• Driving Cloud Transformation: Serve as a technical consultant for large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives, guiding complex legacy systems toward cloud-native architectures while minimizing downtime and risk.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Standardize infrastructure provisioning using **Terraform** as the enterprise IaC standard, creating modular, reusable, and secure registries for multi-region VPCs, IAM hierarchies, and compute environments. Implement automated drift detection and state management best practices to maintain consistency across production environments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design, optimize, and maintain advanced **GitLab CI/CD** and **GitHub Actions** pipelines, incorporating automated quality and security gates (SAST/DAST tools). Implement containerized deployment strategies using **Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and Artifact Registry** to accelerate delivery while ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Observability & DevSecOps Collaboration: Partner with **Enterprise Security, Cloud Architecture, and Software Engineering** teams to embed a **DevSecOps culture**, ensuring security is integrated into every phase of development. Develop robust monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks using **GCP Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana** to enhance system visibility and operational resilience.

Required Experience & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• 7+ Years of DevOps Engineering Experience: A proven track record in designing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructures, with a focus on **enterprise environments**.
• Cloud Transformation Expertise: Hands-on experience leading or contributing to **large-scale IT migrations, digital transformations, or cloud adoption projects**.
• GCP Proficiency: Advanced mastery of **Terraform** for complex infrastructure orchestration, deep expertise in **GitLab/GitHub CI/CD workflows**, and comprehensive knowledge of **Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and service mesh architectures**.
• Networking & Security Acumen: Strong understanding of **enterprise networking (Shared VPCs, Cloud DNS, Cloud Interconnect, Firewalls)** and **DevSecOps principles (IAM least privilege, KMS, Secrets Management)**.
• Certifications: Mandatory **Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer Certification**, with a preference for **Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer Certification**.
• Agile & Collaboration: Experience working within **Agile methodologies** and cross-functional teams to drive iterative improvements.

Preferred Skills

• Proficient scripting in **Python, Go, or advanced Bash** for automation and custom tooling.
• Familiarity with **GCP database migration practices (Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable)** and highly regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government).
