What You’ll Accomplish

As the driving force behind our backend platform, you will:

• **Own the full architectural vision** for backend services, data pipelines, APIs, SDKs, and streaming infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity between workers, devices, and enterprise workflows.
• **Design and deploy scalable, multi-tenant platform capabilities** that empower real-time insights, operational efficiency, and data-driven automation across large-scale environments.
• **Define robust data governance frameworks**, including clear data contracts, lineage tracking, quality controls, and reliable replay mechanisms to ensure trust and reliability.
• **Build and refine secure, high-performance APIs and SDKs** tailored for internal teams, strategic partners, end-users, and AI-driven applications, fostering seamless integration and extensibility.
• **Make strategic technology decisions** across relational databases, time-series storage, streaming platforms, search engines, and vector databases to optimize performance and scalability.
• **Lead the evolution of our backend platform**, primarily leveraging **C#/.NET** while contributing to multi-language ecosystems where impactful.
• **Shape the technical trajectory of AI-native capabilities**, including AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool/function orchestration, and model evaluation frameworks.
• **Elevate engineering standards** across testing methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, release processes, and production operations, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a **seasoned architect** with:

• **10+ years of software engineering experience**, with a proven track record of influence at the **Staff, Principal, or Lead Architect level**, demonstrating sustained impact in complex technical environments.
• **Deep expertise in scalable SaaS platforms or distributed systems**, with hands-on experience delivering production-grade solutions at enterprise scale.
• **Strong backend and distributed systems acumen**, with expertise in **C#/.NET, Go, Python, Java, or Node.js**, and a passion for solving large-scale challenges.
• **Proven API design experience**, including RESTful and GraphQL architectures, with deep knowledge of authentication/identity patterns such as **OAuth, JWT, and SSO**.
• **Cloud and infrastructure expertise**, with hands-on experience in **GCP or AWS**, Kubernetes, Terraform, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• **Governed data platform experience**, including ontologies, data lineage, or similar systems, ensuring data integrity and usability.
• **Modern AI integration knowledge**, with hands-on experience in **LLM prompting, RAG, tool/function calling, MCP, or agent architectures** to enhance platform capabilities.
• **Exceptional communication skills**, with fluent written and spoken English to collaborate effectively across global teams.
