About the Role

MAB United For Trading & Contracting, a premier construction and contracting firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Control Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the financial health and success of our projects by meticulously monitoring costs, managing budgets, and providing accurate financial forecasts. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with financial standards while driving efficiency and profitability across all ongoing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of financial and operational duties, including but not limited to:

• Cost Monitoring and Budget Management: Oversee project expenditures, track costs against approved budgets, and identify variances to implement corrective actions promptly.
• Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Earned Value Analysis (EVA): Conduct comprehensive EVA to assess project performance, measure productivity, and ensure alignment with project milestones and financial objectives.
• Cost Tracking and Systems Management: Implement and maintain robust cost coding systems, track quantities, and manage variations or changes to minimize financial risks and discrepancies.
• Cost-to-Complete and Estimate at Completion: Prepare detailed estimates for remaining project costs (CTC) and final project costs (EAC), providing actionable insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Reporting and Collaboration: Generate comprehensive cost reports, present findings to management, and collaborate closely with planning and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of financial and operational strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field, from a recognized institution.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Cost Control within the construction or contracting sector, with a proven track record in managing large-scale or mega projects, preferably within the GCC region.
• Direct experience in Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects is highly advantageous and will be given preference.

Location:

• Candidates must currently be based in Saudi Arabia and be prepared to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity as required by the project demands.

Skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and perform data analysis.
• ERP Systems: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other relevant software tools used in cost control and project management.
• Analytical Capabilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
