Project Engineer I - Automation

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Project Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to develop and refine automation solutions tailored to client requirements.
• System Integration: Oversee the integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruption to operations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and post-implementation reviews, to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.
• Client Engagement: Act as a liaison between the organization and clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in automation or project management are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in automation engineering, project coordination, or a related discipline. Experience in the industrial or energy sector is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of automation tools, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems. Familiarity with CAD software and project management tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical data, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions to optimize project outcomes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
