Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Manager to join our dynamic team at Ashoka Buildcon in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction or infrastructure project management, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement strategic planning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software. Ensure alignment with contractual obligations, client requirements, and organizational goals.
• Resource Allocation: Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and site teams to allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor resource utilization to prevent bottlenecks and optimize productivity.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and constraints that may impact project timelines or budgets. Propose and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress through regular site visits, meetings, and data analysis. Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, deviations, and corrective actions required.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate seamless communication and resolve conflicts. Ensure all parties are aligned with project objectives and timelines.
• Budget Adherence: Work closely with the finance team to monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of workmanship and deliverables.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide planning engineers, schedulers, and junior staff to enhance their technical and leadership skills. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project planning and management within the construction or infrastructure sector, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing innovative solutions to drive project success.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
