Position Overview

Ashoka Buildcon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial & Contract Manager to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of commercial and contractual activities, ensuring compliance, profitability, and seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract management, commercial negotiations, and strategic planning to drive business growth and mitigate risks within the construction and infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Develop, review, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives, legal requirements, and industry standards. Oversee contract execution, amendments, and renewals while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Commercial Strategy & Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions. Analyze market trends, cost structures, and financial risks to optimize contract profitability and competitiveness.
• Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Identify potential contractual and commercial risks, implementing proactive measures to minimize exposure. Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, company policies, and contractual obligations to safeguard organizational interests.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal teams—including legal, finance, project management, and procurement—to align commercial strategies with operational goals. Serve as a liaison between the organization and external partners to resolve disputes and foster long-term relationships.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor contract performance, revenue recognition, and cost control mechanisms. Prepare and present commercial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
• Bid & Tender Management: Support the preparation of competitive bids and tenders by evaluating commercial viability, pricing models, and contractual terms. Ensure submissions meet client requirements and company standards.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CIArb, or CMA) is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in commercial and contract management, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors. Prior exposure to large-scale projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in contract lifecycle management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, or similar), ERP systems, and advanced Excel. Strong understanding of FIDIC, NEC, or other standard contract forms is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities. Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and conflict resolution. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are preferred.
