Mace is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager - System Safety to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of system safety protocols across our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with international safety standards while fostering a culture of safety excellence within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - System Safety will play a critical leadership role in driving safety initiatives and managing risk mitigation strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive system safety strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Lead the integration of safety best practices into all business processes and project lifecycles.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to local and international safety regulations, including ISO 45001, OSHA, and other relevant standards. Oversee audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of safety professionals. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages proactive safety reporting and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture. Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and regulatory bodies.
• Incident Investigation & Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance issues. Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to eliminate recurring risks.
• Training & Awareness: Design and deliver safety training programs to enhance employee competency and awareness. Ensure all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and tools to maintain a safe working environment.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of safety initiatives. Provide regular reports to senior management on safety performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a proven track record in system safety management, preferably within a multinational or large-scale construction and infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in safety management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of international safety standards, regulations, and best practices. Experience with ISO 45001, OSHA, and other relevant frameworks is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools to track performance and drive decision-making.
