Your Impact: Leading Mechanical Excellence in Data Centre Development

In this critical role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical engineering for the data centre, from design and installation to commissioning and handover. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration, compliance with international standards, and alignment with client expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines, to deliver a facility that sets new benchmarks for reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Systems Oversight: Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing, fire protection, and associated utilities, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to project specifications.
• Design and Technical Management: Review and manage mechanical design drawings, calculations, and technical submittals to ensure accuracy, compliance with codes, and alignment with project objectives.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Act as a liaison between contractors, consultants, and other engineering teams to resolve technical challenges, streamline workflows, and ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electrical, structural, and architectural components.
• Site Supervision and Quality Assurance: Monitor on-site installation activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Address any deviations promptly to maintain project integrity.
• Testing, Commissioning, and Handover: Support the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance criteria and are ready for operational handover. Provide engineering support throughout the process to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Technical Leadership and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, conduct site assessments, and provide strategic guidance to the project team to ensure timely delivery, safety compliance, and adherence to quality objectives.

Your Qualifications: Proven Expertise in Mechanical Engineering for Mission-Critical Facilities

To excel in this role, you must possess a robust technical background and a track record of delivering high-stakes mechanical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education and Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least five years in a senior leadership role on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Professional Registration: Mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence and compliance with local regulations.
• Industry-Specific Expertise: Proven experience in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical facilities, with a deep understanding of mechanical systems tailored to high-reliability environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, fire protection mechanisms, and associated utilities, along with familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional coordination, leadership, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to identify technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and adapt to evolving project requirements while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
