Autobia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Content & Communications Specialist to shape the messaging that resonates with our merchant community. This role is pivotal in crafting the words merchants encounter across multiple touchpoints, including WhatsApp, Crisp, in-app notifications, email communications, support macros, and website content. The ideal candidate will be a proficient Arabic writer, capable of making strategic decisions about messaging channels and structures backed by data. This hands-on position requires the ability to conduct audits, write compelling copy, and train support teams—ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact in every interaction. The role demands a keen eye for sequencing, frequency, and duplication, as well as the ability to refine or remove messages to enhance effectiveness. Arabic is the primary language for this role; the candidate will write in Modern Standard Arabic from a brief, not translate into it.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Merchant Lifecycle Messaging: Manage messaging across WhatsApp, Crisp, in-app notifications, and email—including inventory, rewriting, and ongoing governance to ensure relevance and engagement.
• Channel and Structure Decisions: Determine which messages belong on which channel and establish rules to maintain consistency, collaborating closely with product and support teams to align messaging strategies.
• Brand and Product Copywriting: Develop compelling copy for brand and product communications, including inventory financing products and sales talking points, tailored to the needs of our merchant audience.
• Terminology Management: Build and maintain a comprehensive Arabic terminology list, ensuring agreed-upon wording for products, roles, actions, and statuses across all customer-facing surfaces.
• Editorial Governance: Write and own the Arabic editorial style guide and define tone tiers for each channel, ensuring a consistent and professional voice across all communications.
• Support Content Development: Create the customer support guidebook and macro library, and provide training to the support team to ensure alignment with messaging standards.
• Website Content Creation: Write Arabic content for the Autobia and Qasima Plus websites, ensuring clarity, engagement, and alignment with brand voice.
• Performance Analysis: Collaborate with growth marketing to baseline message performance and measure the impact of changes, using data to refine and optimize messaging strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Literature, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of professional writing experience in Arabic, with Modern Standard Arabic as the primary working register.
• Proven experience owning a messaging system end-to-end, including customer lifecycle messaging, support content, or product communications.
• Strong editorial discipline, including the ability to manage style guides, terminology, and consistency at scale.
• Proficiency in analyzing support and engagement data to inform messaging decisions and drive improvements.
• Exceptional writing skills in Arabic; working proficiency in English for internal tools and stakeholder communications.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, buy-now-pay-later (BNPL), marketplaces, or e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with the WhatsApp Business API and tools such as Crisp.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving processes and priorities.
