Application Engineer - Thru Tubing Services

Position Overview

As a key technical and commercial contributor, the Application Engineer – Thru Tubing Services plays a pivotal role in advancing Weatherford’s Thru Tubing product portfolio, which encompasses Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention solutions. This position bridges the gap between technical expertise and business development, ensuring that Weatherford’s offerings are strategically positioned to meet customer needs while driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, and customers, to deliver innovative, safe, and efficient solutions that align with both corporate objectives and client requirements.

Core Responsibilities

The Application Engineer is responsible for a diverse range of technical and commercial activities, including:

• Technical Support & Job Design: Provide expert guidance on Thru Tubing tools and services, developing job designs, operational programs, and technical recommendations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution. Collaborate with field teams to troubleshoot challenges and enhance service quality.
• Customer Engagement & Solution Development: Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, interpreting their operational needs and translating them into tailored Weatherford solutions. Support sales initiatives through the preparation of technical proposals, tenders, quotations, and customer presentations to highlight the value of Weatherford’s Thru Tubing technologies.
• Business Development & Market Intelligence: Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Provide actionable market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and revenue growth initiatives.
• Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver training materials, application guidelines, and technical documentation to enhance the competency of field personnel and junior team members. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE), and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with Weatherford’s business strategy.
• Safety & Compliance Leadership: Uphold the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship by ensuring adherence to Weatherford’s policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, demonstrating a commitment to the Company’s Rules to Live By and fostering a culture of safety excellence.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Weatherford’s Thru Tubing product line by supporting performance reviews, product line initiatives, and strategic business implementations. Stay abreast of industry advancements and technological innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
