Job Summary

As the strategic financial leader of the property, the Director of Finance (Dir-Finance-C) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing financial strategies that align with the brand’s objectives and deliver exceptional value to both customers and employees. This position is responsible for driving financial performance, optimizing profitability, and ensuring the successful implementation of the brand’s service strategy and initiatives. The Dir-Finance-C will develop and execute a comprehensive business plan that not only meets but exceeds financial targets while safeguarding assets and enhancing operational efficiency. By providing expert financial guidance, this role will empower the property’s leadership team to make informed decisions that maximize return on investment and support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Planning and Decision Making:
  • Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that enhance profitability, including cost-benefit analysis, exploration of new business opportunities, and identification of revenue growth potential.
  • Analyze financial data, market trends, and operational performance to forecast sales, expenses, and budget variances, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Create and manage the annual operating budget, providing analytical support during reviews to identify cost-saving measures and productivity improvements.
  • Establish robust financial controls to mitigate business risks, safeguard assets, and improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive annual business plan that is fully integrated with the company’s and brand’s strategic direction, ensuring clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
• Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance team by assigning clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability, while fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Communicate strategic financial goals and priorities to subordinates and cross-functional teams in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Leverage exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence executive leadership, align financial strategies with property objectives, and drive sound business decisions.
  • Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and executive committee, offering insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including property owners, corporate leadership, and guests, to understand their priorities and deliver tailored financial solutions that meet their needs.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, persuasive, and actionable insights that drive desired behaviors and align with business objectives.
  • Monitor cash flow dynamics and financial trends to proactively address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in finance and accounting, combined with a proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive financial performance. The ideal candidate will have:

• A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a closely related professional area.
• OR a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, with a track record of delivering measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and drive accountability.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of financial controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with the ability to leverage data to inform strategic decisions.

Location and Work Environment

This full-time, on-site position is based at 7628 King Faisal Ibn Abd Al Aziz Road, Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in a leadership role that requires a high level of engagement, collaboration, and strategic thinking to drive the financial success of the property.
