About the Role

Kent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our expanding engineering team within the Oil & Gas sector, based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This is a pivotal opportunity to play a key role in shaping a new team, strengthening our technical expertise, and elevating Kent’s reputation as a leader in the energy industry.

Role Scope and Responsibilities

The Lead Project Engineer will provide EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) delivery leadership for the IK project team, overseeing the execution of the Manifa project. This role is instrumental in driving the project from initial engineering support through site surveys, procurement, sub-contractor management, construction setup, and full-scale construction execution. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, managing, and delivering the Manifa IK project, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Coordinating and communicating effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, key suppliers, and sub-contractors to foster collaboration and resolve challenges.
• Providing leadership and direction to all project team members, including HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), QA (Quality Assurance), Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sub-Contracts, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Consulting on quality assurance matters, ensuring adherence to ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plans, and Design Integrity processes.
• Supporting and mentoring the project engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Providing guidance during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Staying abreast of the latest developments in Project Management, with a particular focus on Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodologies, to enhance project delivery efficiency.
• Overseeing the overall quality of the project, including budget management, schedule adherence, planning, and team performance, while providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to offer technical support and resolve issues as they arise.
• Reviewing and approving deliverables submitted by subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
