Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Healthcare Implementation Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• System Deployment and Integration: Lead the end-to-end implementation of health information systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing electronic health records (EHR), laboratory information systems (LIS), and other clinical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure, test, and validate system functionality prior to go-live.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on system architecture, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and resolving implementation challenges. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including IT teams, healthcare providers, and vendors, to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Workflow Optimization: Analyze clinical workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement through health IT solutions. Work closely with healthcare professionals to tailor system configurations that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve patient outcomes.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure all implementations adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and local health authority guidelines. Implement robust security measures to safeguard patient data and maintain system integrity.
• Training and Support: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users, including clinicians, administrators, and IT staff. Provide ongoing technical support to resolve post-implementation issues and ensure optimal system performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance, gather feedback from stakeholders, and recommend enhancements to drive continuous improvement. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in health IT (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems – CPHIMS) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in health information systems implementation, with a proven track record in deploying EHR, LIS, or other clinical applications. Prior experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or health system, is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of health IT standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM), database management, and system integration tools. Familiarity with cloud-based health IT solutions and cybersecurity best practices is essential.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to diagnose technical issues, analyze complex data, and develop effective solutions. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting are critical.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple implementation projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results within tight deadlines. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
