As a Senior OCI Engineer at DXC Technology, you will collaborate closely with architects, application teams, and stakeholders to design and implement robust cloud solutions tailored to meet complex business requirements. Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will span across multiple critical domains, ensuring end-to-end cloud excellence:

• OCI Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancies, including compartmentalization, virtual cloud networks (VCNs), subnets, security configurations, and dynamic routing gateways. Ensure secure and scalable provisioning of compute resources, storage solutions, and load balancers while adhering to best practices for identity and access management (IAM).
• Cloud Migration Leadership: Spearhead migrations of on-premises and multi-cloud workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, leveraging tools such as Oracle Cloud Migrations, RackWare, and specialized migration services. Develop and execute tailored migration strategies—including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring—to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Support database migrations using advanced tools like OCI Database Migration Service, GoldenGate, and Zero Downtime Migration.
• Cloud-Native and DevOps Excellence: Architect and manage containerized environments using OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE), designing resilient and scalable CI/CD pipelines with tools like OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi to automate and streamline cloud deployments. Enhance observability and monitoring through OCI’s suite of tools, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Oracle Workload Optimization: Deploy and manage Oracle Database services, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and traditional DB Systems. Design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and Autonomous Data Guard. Optimize performance and resource utilization for Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Fusion Middleware workloads.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Author comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational playbooks, to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices across teams. Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and participate in incident management and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement. Translate business and application requirements into innovative OCI solutions that align with organizational goals.

Must-Have Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• 7–8 years of progressive cloud engineering experience, with at least 4 years specialized in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Hands-on expertise in OCI services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Database, and Security, with a proven track record of designing and managing scalable cloud environments.
• Extensive experience leading cloud migrations from on-premises or multi-cloud environments to OCI, including database migrations and workload optimization.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform with the OCI provider, and experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OKE.
• Strong familiarity with Oracle Database technologies, including Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), RMAN, and GoldenGate.
• Advanced Linux administration skills, including scripting (Python, Bash, or Go) and automation to streamline cloud operations.
• A deep understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and network peering, with experience implementing secure cloud connectivity solutions.
• Exceptional ability to document technical processes clearly and communicate complex cloud architectures to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be highly valued:

• Certifications such as OCI Architect Associate, OCI Architect Professional, OCI DevOps Professional, or OCI Database Professional.
• Experience with other major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to provide cross-cloud expertise and best practice insights.
